In 2013, Grace started her career with the Town of Mount Pleasant working in the Town Clerk’s office. This experience gave her a working knowledge of the operation of our Town’s Government. It was a natural progression for her to run successfully for the Office of the Receiver of Taxes in 2017, and even more gratifying to be re-elected for another term in 2021.

In the tax office, she was able to greatly improve the efficiency and user-friendliness of the tax program, including payment automation and accepting credit card payments for added convenience. Grace’s priority has always been to educate residents on the myriad of tax rules, regulations, and opportunities. She provides patient explanations, supplies tax bills, and summaries for year end. Her focus on transparency, accessibility, and fairness has resulted in a more intuitive and straightforward approach to the tax payment process. Grace has a heartfelt commitment to help each and every resident and does so with her trademark kindness and integrity.
